If you’re a golfer you have plenty of golf courses to choose from in Athens.  A beautiful course is at the University of Georgia.  It’s the only public in-town golf course.  For beginners they offer private instruction and clinics and you can choose to play 9 holes or 18 holes.  The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they provide quality service.  Operating since 1968, this course is considered very challenging and beautiful as well.
